Show Notes

Well. I was hoping for a calmer year, but instead, 2023 decided to start off with a gut punch.

I'm coming at you this week on the heels of two big changes in my life. The primary one, which has me feeling especially lost, was having to say goodbye unexpectedly to my pup, Bella. This happened a mere two weeks after one of my best friends moving in, also unexpectedly.

In this week's podcast episode, I bring you into my very vulnerable world and talk about where I'm at and how I'm showing up for myself during this time of crisis in my life.

I reference a couple of episodes where I talk about how to support yourself after a big life change and times of crisis, and this just seemed like a good time to demonstrate what those tips look like in practice. At least, what the first two tips look like in practice, since I'm not yet ready to move on to the other steps.

The two tips that I cover are:

  1. Giving myself grace and space.
  2. Determining my priorities.

In the context of my priorities, I talk about what I'm prioritizing across the 4 pillars of well-being: sleep, stress management, nutrition, and movement. I go through each one and explain what I'm doing to still show up for myself and what this looks like in practice in the messiness of life.

My goal for you with this episode is to get a real-life example of what it looks like to take health and wellness tips and guidance and apply it within the context of your beautifully imperfect life.
