020 | When Aesthetic Goals Can Be Beneficial
Show Notes

Over the last couple of weeks, I've talked about setting goals and how to measure success. This week, though, I wanted to address one of the biggest reasons people choose to lose weight: So that they "look good" or "to be hot" or whatever else.

One of the main things  that I think is important for everyone to think about before setting a goal - regardless of the type - is, how will your life be better if you achieve this goal?

When it comes to aesthetic goals, it seems that people know they want to "look better," but they don't think about how their life will be improved if they achieve that goal. In this episode, I want to encourage this type of critical thinking so that you don't go through the process and end up disappointed because you didn't get out of it what you wanted to get out of it.

That being said, one of the best responses to this question is something to the effect of, "When I look X way, I feel more confident."

The other reason is because you really want to just for yourself and no one else, regardless of why you want it. Again though - critical thinking.

But when it comes to confidence, there's a very real component that comes from feeling confident in how we look and how that translates to our presence, how we carry ourself, and our self-beliefs.

So put on your sassy pants and join me for this conversation around when it could be beneficial to set aesthetic goals and some important things to keep in mind if this is a journey you're on!
