005 | Corporate Greed is Sabotaging You
Show Notes

Question for you: How the hell are you supposed to make well-informed choices about living a healthy life when greedy corporations go to great lengths to sabotage those efforts by rounding up scientists to feed you misinformation that will ultimately keep you stuck?

It's a little bit of a trick question. Join me for this rant, prompted by a DW documentary posted in March 2022, "Obesity and Corporate Greed." The documentary references a global campaign from 2015 that you might recall, but this set me off about how it's no wonder people are struggling so much to achieve and maintain health when corporate greed is sabotaging those efforts.

In this episode, I explain how I'm a proponent of personal accountability (even when corporations, apparently, do not) while also providing some suggestions for how you can navigate this shit show and continue to support your health and live a badass life, even when greedy assholes are trying to mislead you.

My main piece of advice: Be curious. If you're looking to make big changes to your diet or lifestyle, especially, don't take anything at face value, and actively look for all views before making a decision. I don't go into detail here about how to identify if research is credible (maybe in a future episode), but there are still some things that you can do to make sure you're making informed decisions.
